Bon Scott .

Bon Scott was the lead singer for AC/DC, a hard rocking Australian band formed in 1973 featuring the wailing lead guitar riffs of the knicker clad Angus Young. In 1974 Bon replaced Dale Evans on lead vocals. AC/DC broke in the states with 1976’s “High Voltage” . They released a string of albums and commanded a loyal following. 1979’s platinum “Highway To Hell” established the band as a dominant force on the US charts. However tragedy soon struck the band. On February 19th of 1980 after an all-night drinking binge Bon choked to death on his own vomit while passed-out in the back seat of a Volkswagon Beetle at the age of 33.
